For those of you who read the previously posted blog and are wondering about why I deleted it. The blog last night was specifically for me to vent. If I hadn't let it stay posted for at least a little while I wouldn't have felt any better and I needed to sleep on it. I won't go into the details of the blog here cause that would defeat the purpose of deleting it so I wouldn't hurt someones feelings. Its amazing how much better I always feel after sleeping on something. Well anyways....IT'S FRIDAY!!! WOO! I have to get my perscriptions filled, get a haircut, study like mad, go to a Pie Night, probably could use a nap, plus go to my crappy Biochem 2 class....blech.....well Wishing all of you a great day and that the blessing of the Lord rest on you today - Ferris :D
:D Allright I know I'm a bit of a nerd but stick with me. I was talking to a friend about details in her line of study (she's architecture) and I'm jsut gonna post the rest of our conversation, it was jsut cool how the words came....
FalconTch: its the little secrets in a building that I enjoy FalconTch: little back stairways, cool little privacy corners....I dunno...I cna't think of any cool ones at the moment, but I know them when I see them aspice783: and what about in chemistry or biochem? aspice783: the details in that? aspice783: do they excite you? FalconTch: oh yeah....every class I go to this semester makes me jsut stand that much more in awe of God....the details scream for him....its like.....looking at the Space Shuttle in minirature.....details that serve purpose, but could so easily be over looked, the way things fit together just because....the way you look at one simple little process in a cell and can't for the life of you think of a way it could be made better.... FalconTch: its like God just smiling and letting his work speak for him....one engineer to another.... aspice783: thats awesome, matt aspice783: i like that thought FalconTch: He took great pride in making this place special for us....and everything from the organs in my body to the individual reactions in my cells show how much care he took...... aspice783: its truely awesome, awe-inspring aspice783: geology was that way for me aspice783: when I was in that class aspice783: I was completely amazed by how everything worked together FalconTch: there is an enzyme that changes onetype of nucleotide(DNA base) into a form that can be put into DNA....it has two switches one that turns the enzyme on and one that says what specific base it will be making.....when ATP is in the first switch the enzyme is on....and to begin with ATP is in the specifying switch so the enzyme makes CTP and TTP...when the amount of TTP gets high enough it kicks ATP out of the specifying switch and now the enzyme will make GTP when GTP levels get high enough it kicks TTP out and the ezyme starts making the special ATP and when it gets high enough it kicks the regular ATP out of the on switch and the enzyme shuts off..... aspice783: whew FalconTch: it makes sure that each level of _TP's is always about equal to the others, because if they weren't you would die....and this little enzyme is in everything from bacteria to people....and it works perfectly....all the time.... FalconTch: yeah I tried to keep it in non-biochem words ;-) aspice783: LOL aspice783: thanks aspice783: thats pretty aspice783: cool aspice783: its in everything? FalconTch: everything.....anything that has DNA has to have this molecule....excepting viruses...they don't make new DNA aspice783: oh aspice783: neat FalconTch: yeah....its been the coolest thing so far this semester.....because not only does it jsut tromple any idea of evolution, but its such an elegant system....its like poetry in motion....such a simple concept to answer such a hard problem....
and another such conversation with a different friend
raiderkitty8: so are you a creationist? raiderkitty8: you don't have to answer raiderkitty8: i was just wondering FalconTch: oh I am...very definitely...the deeper I get into biology and biochemistry...the more it amazes me that everyone isn't a creationist.....things fit together so perfectly....synthesis' that the best human minds would take generations to figure out and they work all by themselves....systems so complex that it take 2 weeks to cover a small fraction of them and yet they happen in your body billions of times a second...I walk out of each class jsut that much more in awe of how amazing God is....its incredible... raiderkitty8: wow......that's cool raiderkitty8: you're obviously very sure about that FalconTch: as sure as I am that he came to die for my sins.... raiderkitty8: wow raiderkitty8: so you believe in creationism for all species or just humans? FalconTch: everything from E.coli to Galaxies and everything inbetween.....but the cool part is that for all the amazing vistas in the stars...the beauty of a single cell working in concert....there was only one thing in all creation that he Formed with his own hands.....and he gave it His very breath....us. raiderkitty8: wow, that was nicely put FalconTch: everything else in all of creation he simply spoke...but mankind he formed with his own hands...first the man out of the dust and then woman out of the man...both intensely personal...he made them both man and woman in his image...self portraits if you will....and he gave them both life...by breathing into them....like a husband waking his new bride with a kiss....
So I know the first is a little dry, but the example is an enzyme called RNA Reductase and that is how it works. A system so perfectly configured for its system and completely irreducibly complex. Meaning that if you take away any of the parts the thing jsut doesn't work and can't ahve evolved it requires all of the parts to be there in they're perfect form or else nothing happens and the cell dies. God's design declares itself not only from the heights of the heavens but to the scum on your sink. Feeling very special to my Creator right now - Ferris :D God Bless y'all! :D
This weekend I'm studynig for two tests next week. Fluid Mechanics and Biochemistry 3.....one I'm absolutely positive what to expect.....the other I have no idea.....one I understand most of and the other I barely grasp. So I ahve no idea what to expect my grades to be.....I'm praying and studying for A's. Yesterday I also stepped up to the plate and started planning for a Campus wide outreach that I'm spearheading and it has really taken a toll on me. Spiritually I know I'm at the center of a battle. This outreach...well let me jsut paste the email to my helpers in this on the blog. Here it is:
Project Tech Passion
Allright friends here it is the synopsis of what I want this to be.
This is a massive undertaking, tons of time and people power to make it happen. We have 19 days today until the release of the movie. This needs to be a campus wide deal with every Christian organization we can get onboard. We need donations on a massive scale either monetary or direct donation of the tickets. Maybe even get the media in on it to get donations from businesses either human interest stories on the news or newpaper. The movie comes out on a Wednsday, for the Thursday, Friday and Saturday showings, for those three days there should be at least 3000 tickets for at the most extremely cheap, preferably free to give away, plus enough transportation to take students from a meeting point to either of the movie theaters(both will be showing it). The drivers of the carts should be prepared to witness after the movie. The power of Scripture and Jesus' sacrafice are supposed to be very evident in this movie and I ahve no doubt in my mind that I can and will bring about salvations and we should be prepared for it. Literature for each of the organizations can be handed out, but should not be forced upon them we'll let the Holy Spirit do his work on these peoples hearts. Maybe the drivers can have a supply of info for their own ministries and that way if we have at least one driver from each ministry we can offer the chance of ministry growth. This is like a once in a lifetime chance....to see a first run movie for free anyone will want to go....and to have it be a witnessing opportunity.
This is the general idea. I think that for the purposes of time and efficiency a meeting of all the people whose groups want to be involved is unfeasible, so the game plan is this: I give you your people to contact. For those who express interest get me phone numbers and email addresses. And give them mine. I'll then coordinate the formation of two teams, one for donations and one for transportation. For the rest of the details, like literature and timing can I count on y'all or should I make another team? We'll add to the announcements at LG a call for drivers and donations(kristin?). From there it picks up its own momentum. Hopefully I can organize a prayer team to give us "prayer cover" during the days we are handing out tickets and driving people.
Try an opening something like this: "Do you know about the movie "The Passion of the Christ" My name is _______. I'm with a group from the IV chapter on Tech campus. We are getting together all the Christian organizations on campus to make this movie an outreach to the pre-Christians at Texas Tech." Then give the synopsis of the Project. Sound stupid? Be creative....

Many of these are building numbers and may not have people there over the weekend. So if no answer please try again on Monday. Response time needs to be at the most by Wednsday. Also please ask your pastors. Either for prayer support during the lead up and event and possible donations from the churches themselves. This is an action equivalent to a battle. We will be making a hard stab at the enemies hold on campus. Emphasize unity among the Christians on campus and the importance of prayer. If they don't want to be involved ask for them to get their groups to pray hard for the event at least. Thanks for doing this girls. If there are any questions call or email me ASAP. We are pressed for time but I believe God will make this come together. Thats the entire email....what do y'all think. I got two discouraging remarks earlier that evening and this morning and had decided to call it off shortly after lunch, but this evening one of the people who's opinion I respect a whole lot told me that she was proud of my work and that it was a good job. Her encouragement made me realize that this is very likely at the center of a spiritualy battle. I had gotten this idea from God and the devil knows about it. Now I'm more enthusiatic about it than ever. I won't be stopped. I'm a child of God and a soldier in his army I refuse to retreat. I was talking to one of my friends today and he was telling me how he felt that Christians today were like defenders in the Alamo except we had a force coming to rescue us. I agree and disagree with him at the same time. I feel that we are indeed warriors on an ever shrinking patch of groud. He says that thats the way its supposed to be until Jesus comes back and rescues us. I couldn't disagree more. We are losing ground to the enemy today not because we are weak and waiting for our Savior to come rescue us at the last second thats a lie, propoganda straight from our Enemy and we're believing it. Christians in the beginning were an extreme minority but they knew something we apparently have forgotten WE are children of GOD. We aren't weak when we stand in HIM. Its by his strength we overcome, yes we are weak on our own, but we are far from alone. He said "I will never leave you....""I am with you always even til the end of the age" We are more than conquerors. We aren't weak we are strong! WE ARE MEANT TO WIN! Just because Jesus comes back and pulls out is no reason to retreat. We aren't fighting a losing battle we're fighting to win and we get pulled out before the area is saturation bombed. I will not retreat from battle, I will push the banner of the Kingdom of God forward to my last breath. I will fight the enemy in my home, in my college, in my community, in my country, in my world. This is my earth and every inch of it belongs to Jesus and I will fight with my life to return it to him. NEVER LET ANYONE TELL YOU CHRISTIANS ARE DEFEATED. Believe in the power of the Holy Spirit working through you and believe in what He has told us through Paul..."What then shall we say in response to this? If God is for us, who can be against us?' Who indeed can stand against the power of the Almighty Creator of the Universe. Child of God and Soldier for the Almighty - Ferris (determination emoticon here)
